Coffee.lv is a specialty coffee shop in Latvia that has been operating for 30 years. Our coffee shop began its operations in 1994, when specialty coffee was not yet known in Latvia.
We personally travel to coffee plantations in various countries around the world to select the best arabica lots. Our coffee roastery is located in Riga, where we roast coffee in small batches to preserve optimal flavor and aroma.
Coffee shop assortment and services
Our coffee shop offers a wide selection of specialty coffee - more than 40 different arabica varieties from Central and South American, African and Asian plantations. Coffee enthusiasts can purchase both single origin varieties and our signature coffee blends.
Coffee shop customers can choose coffee at different roast levels - from light to dark roasting. We offer both whole coffee beans and ground coffee for various brewing methods: espresso, filter coffee, French press, chemex and other methods.
Coffee delivery takes place throughout Latvia through the Omniva parcel machine network. Customers can also visit our coffee salon in Riga (Brīvības gatve 224A), where it is possible to try different coffee varieties and receive professional consultations on coffee preparation.
Collaboration with restaurants and coffee shops
Coffee.lv collaborates with many restaurants and coffee shops throughout Latvia. Our coffee is used by Riga restaurant "Divi Labi", "MyLife restaurant" in Jurmala, as well as other professional chefs and baristas. We provide regular coffee deliveries, barista training and technical support.
Coffee culture and education
Specialty coffee differs from regular coffee in higher quality, precise processing and unique flavor characteristics. Each coffee variety has its specific taste, which depends on the growing region, climate, soil and processing method.
Coffee roasting is a complex process that requires experience and precision. Roasting temperature and time affect coffee taste - lighter roasting preserves natural acidic notes, while darker roasting creates nutty and chocolate notes.
The coffee brewing method also significantly affects the final result. The espresso method emphasizes coffee intensity and creaminess, filter coffee - purity and complex flavor notes, while French press - full coffee extraction and rich aroma.
